Aurora police search for robbery suspects

Aurora Police have released surveillance photos of two men who robbed a northeast side convenience store earlier this week.

It happened around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 19.

Police said two men entered the BP Amoco in the 1500 block of Butterfield Rd., and confronted a man working the counter.  One of the men pulled out a gun, the other demanded cast.

They employees complied with their demands and the two men fled the store on foot.

They left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The employee was not injured.

Both suspects appear to be Hispanic and between 25 and 30 years old. The armed suspect is between 6’0” and 6’1”, weigh between 180 and 190 pounds, and has a small vertical patch of facial hair on his chin.

He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The other suspect is also white or Hispanic, 6’1” to 6’2”; weigh between 180 and 200 pounds, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a large logo or design on the right chest and gray jeans.
