Plans considered to expand Northerly Island concert pavilion

Plans are in the works to expand concert seating at Northerly Island.

The proposal by the Chicago Park District would seat about 20,000 people.

The land near the Charter One Pavilion would be re-configured to feature lawn style seating and additional trees.

A vote on this $3 million proposal is set for Thursday.
