A veteran cabdriver, who was shot while being robbed last week, has died.
48-year-old Edwin Obazuaye picked up two men last Thursday evening near 85th and Parnell.
Police say he drove the men several blocks when they robbed him of his cellphone, then shot him in the back and head.
Obazuaye was rushed to the hospital where he hung on, even taking visitors, for several days.
He died of his injuries just after 7 p.m. Monday.
Police are still looking for the two suspects.
