Members of CTU calling for Karen Lewis to be replaced

A coalition of unhappy teachers is set to challenge Chicago Teachers’ Union president Karen Lewis in this May’s union elections.

They say, in spite of last year’s strike, too many issues were left on the table.

Longer days with less pay and the potential closure of 129 schools are the hot topics.

A CTU official says resolving those points is exactly what they’re focused on right now.
