Sounds like a sweet deal to me. Steal 750,000 and pay back 100,000. H e gets to keep600,000. Not bad pay for the years he served. What a dirtbag.

There should be no plea agreements for any politician, they know full well what they were doing. What way to serve the people that trusted you to do the right thing. Jesse Jackson Jr. treated in constituency as bad as the slave owners. He gave them crumbs and expected votes and loyalty for nothing in return. He should be made to buy back every penny with interest with no less than 20 years in prison.

The voters in his district deserved him. How can you re-elect a person to office when they are unavailable and involved in a scandal. If he was a republican he would of had to resign years ago. Always a double standard. Now lets see how his father can come up with an excuse that it was racially motivated.

He didn’t “steal” the money! People gave him the $750k. Their illegalities were not to report it right or pay taxes. It he only thing he he may have stolen was the taxes he owed the people under the laws he swore to uphold when he went into office. People “give” these guys millions of dollars…

I'm glad he he finally got caught along with the wife. Chicago is broke because of people like them. And I am waiting, waiting, and waiting for ex mayor Daley to start getting probed as well. I know for sure he's got A LOT of dirt under the carpet. He need to go down just like Ryan did.
