UK doc uses granulated sugar to treat wounds

sugarThere’s apparently a sweet way to treat your wounds.

In the United Kingdom, a doctor is using granulated sugar on hospital patients to heal wounds and reduce pain. The method was created in Zimbabwe by the physician father.

It’s working so well in England that the doctor was given a large grant to test sugar on bed sores, leg ulcers and surgical cuts.

One amputee said the sweet remedy relieved his pain so well it’s changed his life.

Doctors hope sugar dressings will reduce the need for narcotic medications.
