Smarter kids listen to music early on, study says

Here’s some advice you may hear from doctors: The earlier you introduce music, the smarter your kids will be.

A study in the journal Neuroscience finds musical training before age 7 significantly enhances brain development by triggering stronger connections between motor regions.

Musicians who started young showed more accurate timing for all activities not just playing music.

The improved motor skills were better for musicians who started at any age compared to non musicians.

Researches believe early musical training alters the brain at a time when the anatomy is more sensitive to changes.
