Two men accused of killing 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton will appear in bond court Tuesday.

Chicago police charged 18-year-old Micheail Ward and 20-year-old Kenneth Williams with first-degree murder Monday night.

Police say they’re gang members who were out for revenge, when they opened fire on Pendleton and her friends at a South Side park two weeks ago.

Ward confessed to police.

He said they mistook some of Pendleton’s friends as rivals who shot Williams in July.

Pendleton’s father spoke out for the first time after the charges were announced.

Pendleton’s parents are in Washington to attend Tuesday night’s State of the Union address as President Obama’s guests.

I wonder if they're really the ones responsible – or are they "puppets" put in place to make McCarthy and Company look good…

Guns are not the problem. FBI statistics show that 75% of gun crime is by blacks, 20% by Latino's and 5% other. The victims ratios are about the same.

Keep in mind that in almost every city with major crime problems is run by DEMOCRATS. Yes DEMOCRATS, the ones who always blame the rich Republicans even though there are no Republicans around. Chicago is a perfect example, a Republican could not get elected even if there were no Democrats running. The FIX is in and the DemocRATS have been playing these two groups for the gullable suckers they are for decades. Until these groups stop thinking like the helpless victims they are told they are by their DemocRAT masters their lives will never improve.

I am glad they were caught them and I feel for the family. As Superintendent McCarthy stated, if there were tougher sentencing laws in Illinois, she would still be alive. The sad truth is she would have been but someone else at a later date would not be. Here death was not about the lack of laws or gun control like the rhetoric form the Mayor, the President and other state but about a mentality and culture that exists in certain neighborhoods amongst certain groups of people. And until we are willing to HONESTLY address this, nothing will change. The killings will continue because the people who are doing the killing do not care about life and they certainly do not care about the law. So they can keep up the rhetoric and continue to attack our 2nd Amendment rights and nothing will change or they can get serious about the problem and focus their energy on fixing the real problem.

Your comments show just how little you about the subject. Not only are your comments illogical and totally uninformed and ignorant. Having said that you should have to live without an education, a decent job, and most of all no hope! Before you state statistics look behind those stats. Remember, it was to long ago that Chicago had Big Al Capone, John Dilinger, and many corrupt white cops. You like many think you know when you don't know what you are talking about! How about thinking about jobs and pathways out of poverty and how you can be part of reall change!
