Illinois State University ends lockdown, suspect caught

Illinois State University in Normal reports the lockdown on campus has ended and the suspect with the weapon is now in custody.

According to the school’s website, the campus went on lockdown earlier this afternoon after a  man was seen near Watterson Towers with a weapon.  The website identified the person as Nathan Thomas.

All campus operations will continue as scheduled, the website said.
