Valentine’s Day Flower Tips:

Women love arrangements to create a floral story with mixed combinations of fragrant flowers including roses, lilies, orchids and Holland flower varieties

Avoid purchasing “bullet roses” that have tight bulbs that will never open, instead choose a rose slightly “unfurling.” These roses have been harvested later and will open and last longer

Pricing guide: single rose ($5), mixed flower arrangements ($25 – $75), a dozen roses ($55 – $125), orchid mixed wrapped box or vase ($25 – $100)

Gather many of just one flower like stock flowers or roses and use the “collaring” technique with mixed greens for easy and elegant vase arrangements

Put a few drops of bleach in the water and mist your flowers daily with water to help extend the arrangement’s life
