Local man sinks unbelieved half-court shot to win $75,000

A computer technician from McHenry, Illinois gets the chance of a lifetime to wins some big bucks and the national spotlight — and he capitalized on that change BIG TIME!

Michael Drysch, 50, won a contest sponsored by Lebron James’ foundation and he was flown to the Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons game Friday in Miami for a chance to win $75,000 for a half-court shot.

Drysch made the shot to win the money and a BIG hug from Lebron James.

James watched the awkward shot from the bench, and when the shot swished in, he ran toward Drysch and hugged him, as they both fell to the court.

“Nice way to meet somebody,” Drysch said. “I can’t believe it.”

Drysch said he practiced the shot and made “maybe 1 percent.”
