Two Cook County prosecutors have been suspended for not filing felony charges against a man, later suspected of setting his family on fire.

The assistant state’s attorneys cited a lack of evidence against 29-year-old Nathaniel Beller, in a domestic violence case in September.

Beller was accused of filling a bathtub with gasoline and threatening to kill his family.

Three months later, it’s believed he set himself his wife and two children on fire.

Only his son survived.
