Chicago police are looking for the gunman who shot a man in the head near the Merchandise Mart in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.

The shooting happened just before 6 a.m. Wednesdays as the victim entered a loading dock at the Apparel Center, 350 N. Orleans.

Police say the victim, a 47-year-old man, suffered a graze wound to his head.

He was awake and alert as emergency crews took him to Northwestern Medical Hospital for treatment.

Police say they have a vague description of the gunman, who fled the scene wearing dark clothes.

The investigation is on-going.

Wow, i'm really appalled 2 this story. I used to work this building as security and i have to admitt there is too much access to this building that's not secure. I pray the young man heals graciously and the shoooter is caught b/c i have friends who work there putting their life on the line everyday being in that unsafe building. When is the violence gonna stop??
