2 dead, 1 injured in head-on crash in Mt. Greenwood

Chicago police are investigating a head-on car crash that left two people dead, and another person hospitalized in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood on the Far Southwest Side.

It happened about 2:20 a.m. Sunday in the 3400 block of West 115th Street, police said.

One driver appeared to cross over into the oncoming lane, and struck another car head-on.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed that two men were killed in the crash.

Authorities are still in the process of notifying family members.

A woman was transported to hospital in serious condition.
