The president of the Chicago Federation of Labor says a land-based casino could be located at the James R. Thompson Center downtown.
Jorge Ramirez says the Thompson Center would be a good fit for a casino. It’s centrally located with great transportation, and could be up and running quickly.

Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce president Jerry Roper was the first to suggest a casino at the Thompson Center back in 2011.
