There are laws against purchasing firearms for othe people, the problem is they are never prosecuted for purchasing as straw buyers. You cannot transfer a firearm in the state of Illinois without recording and keeping another persons firearm owner identification card information for ten years. The ATF records when a person buys more than one pistol at a time. Stop trying to scare the general public. Just keep trying to put up more red tape so people cannot protect themselves. Gangbangers will get guns no matter what you do. You could close every gun shop in Illinois and there will still be gun violence. Change the culture, change the values of the people, educate people, and then you’ll see change in violence.
