A new report finds mayor emanual failed to keep a post-election promise.

Shortly after he was sworn in, Emanuel vowed to increase the number of police officers on the street.

But, a Chicago Sun Times analysis found there are actually fewer beat officers than before he took office.

The report blames turnover, saying for every newly hired officer assigned to a beat during the past two years… six others retired.

The fewer beat officers coincides with an increase in murders citywide.

This city and state are a joke. There is clearly an issue with the murder rate climbing. We're not safe meanwhile the mayor and governor have personal security detail. They don't care about anybody else's personal safety but their own. Political bull sh!t.
