Bitter end to Bears season; Speculation over Lovie Smith’s future

Despite a victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday, it still wasn’t enough to get the Chicago Bears into the playoffs.

Chicago also needed Green Bay to beat Minnesota, but that didn’t happen.  The Vikings won the wildcard and advance to the playoffs.

The Bears finish the regular season at 10 and 6.  Chicago has missed the playoffs five times in the last six seasons.

Now, speculation begins over the future of head coach Lovie Smith who has just one year left on his contract.  Smith has an 81 and 63 regular season record over nine seasons with the Bears.

Fans at The White Palace Grill in the South Loop say there is plenty of blame to go around.

“I don’t think Jay Cutler is the right quarterback for the Chicago Bears,” said one diner.  Another chimed in about Smith,  “as a person, he’s fantastic.  I think he put together a great staff, but in the business you  have to produce.”

Could not agree more with thwe comment from the dinners above … Lovie and Cutler have a thing going on … too bad it didn't have anything to do with getting the Offense on track … Bears fans know we have the best in defense …that said we needed to see Cutler pull it together and lead the offence and for Lovie to Lead Cutler … Wishing him the best but its time to step oveer and see if anyone can help Mr . Cutler …

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice

I usually do not comment, however after reading a ton of remarks on

I actually do have a couple of questions for you if it’s okay.

Could it be simply me or does it look like like some of these remarks come
across as if they are left by brain dead folks? :-P
