500 people packed St. Pius church tonight to remember the life of Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera.

She died Sunday in a plane crash as she took off from Monterrey, Mexico.  Rivera was known as the Diva of Banda, selling more than 15 million albums.

The 43-year-old’s remains were turned over to her family today as memorials took place across the country.

Meanwhile, two police officers in Mexico were arrested for taking debris home from the crash site.

The cause of the accident has not been determined.
