Police: Off-duty officer carjacked in Calumet Heights

An off-duty Chicago police officer was carjacked Monday night.

Three people approached the 58-year-old policewoman around 9 p.m. near 90th and South Crandon, in the Calumet Heights neighborhood.

One of them had a gun.

The offenders reportedly took the officer’s Buick SUV, two bulletproof vests, and her police ID.

The officer wasn’t injured.

No sign of the stolen vehicle yet.
