5 shot on South Side

Sources tell WGN news that a shooting at 75th and Exchange in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood may have been retaliation for a gang fight which happened earlier Monday afternoon.

All five people were brought to area hospitals. Four people sustained non-life non-life-threatening injuries. One person was transported in critical condition.

Chicago Police News Affairs tells us the gunman isn’t yet in custody.

The shooting happened about 5:45 Monday evening near a Metra electric train station.
