A 6-year-old girl was wounded in the chest and a woman was wounded in the leg this evening in a shooting on the city’s Far South Side.

It happened Friday evening on the 300 block of West 105th Street.

The girl was riding a scooter when she shot in the chest.

A 50-year-old woman was also shot in the leg.

Witnesses said family and friends were gathered for a barbeque at a home at the time.

They also said the gathering was a memorial, in honor of a young man who was shot and killed nearly five years ago.
