A serial robber is suspected in a Near North Side salon robbery.

According to police, the man is suspected in the Monday morning robbery of a salon located in the 1200 block of North Clybourn Avenue.

The man,  who robbed a salon in Skokie last week, walked into a Niles salon in the 8200 block of Golf Rd a little after 11:30 a.m.

He showed employees a handgun and demanded cash, making off with an undetermined amount.

Police believe he’s the same man who robbed another Niles salon two weeks ago, as well as others in Chicago, Morton Grove, Glen Ellyn, Bensenville and Lombard.

Police issued a community alert for a lone gunman targeting hair salons.

He robbed one in Skokie Thursday, waving a black handgun in the face of the manager, who was convinced he was going to pull the trigger.

“If I didn’t give him the money, 100% he would have,” Nana Khoshaba told WGN News. She handed over about $245.

Police believe the same man, described as a white make around 40-years-old and 6 feet tall, has hit about a half-dozen salons around the Chicago area.
