Police: 4 dead in apparent murder-suicide near DarienThe victims of a murder-suicide in unincorporated DuPage County will be buried together next week, including the gunman.

Police say David Andrus shot his wife Jeana, and their 22 and 16-year-old daughters Jessica and Jennifer.

Then, he turned the gun on himself in their home near Darien Tuesday.

Relatives planning the funeral say the couple had 28 good years together, and that should not be forgotten.

Investigators have not disclosed a motive.

But, David Andrus was fired from his job.

More details have been released today about the victims of a suspected murder-suicide case near Darien.

Law enforcement sources say a father killed his wife and two daughters yesterday at their home.

The victims are identified as 50-year-old David Andrus, his 48-year-old wife Jeana and their daughters Jessica, 22, and Jennifer, 16.

Neighbors heard shouting and then gunshots.

The father had reportedly recently lost his job.

The tragedy took place about a block from the unrelated killings of three members of the Kramer family in Darien in 2010.

The four people found dead inside a home near Darien appear to have been killed in a murder-suicide.

It seems a father opened-fire on three family members inside the house at 555 Oldfield Road on Tuesday in unincorporated Downers Grove, and then took his own life.

Two male cousins also lived at the home.

An investigation is underway into what led to the shooting.

The deceased have been identified as Jeana Andrus, 48, Jessica Andrus, 22, Jennifer Andrus,16, and David Andrus 50.

Autopsies are underway Wednesday.

Neighbors are stunned.

“Seemed to be a normal, happy healthy,” said Kelly Glisan.

The shooting happened across the street from where another murder took place in 2010. Jacob Nodarse killed three members of the Kramer family. Johnny Borizov was recently convicted of orchestrating that crime.

Four people were found dead this afternoon in a home in home in southwest suburban Darien, according to a spokesperson for the DuPage County.

CapturePolice are not yet confirming the nature of the incident in the 500 block of Oldfield Road, although the scene remains very active with DuPage County Sheriff’s police officers and Darien Police Department officers.
