There are a ton of fun things to do as a family at this year’s Auto Show
As the masses lined up to be the first inside this year’s Chicago Auto Show the dignitaries lined up to cut the ribbon.
Employees handed out programs and 12-year-old Abraham Allibrown came to volunteer with the boy scouts– and apparently, find himself a new career.
“I say my favorite car here is this one here.. The ford mustang– it gets good mileage and it’s blue and it’s nice.”
Sounds like you’re selling me the car. “Yes, if you want to buy it. You can take me for a ride”
A pro in the making– even if it’s just his second year here; who we could barely get to stand still.
This is his first of many auto shows to come, according to his dad.. Joe. “He’s a car lover, so is his little brother; special day– thought I’d bring him out.”
Others have come here many, many more times…
Toni Preckwinkle said “This show is the oldest one in the country and it’s the largest one in the country. It’s 105 years old.”
It’s been an annual stop for John Stern
“I took my wife here on one of our first dates here– and been coming here every year since. I’ve got my son here and I’ve got 7 seven grandsons.”
“We make it a day. It’s a tradition. We’ve been coming; he’s been coming here since he was four years old. And now we bring my sons with and my nephews, it’s just a great tradition– guy’s day out.”
Generations coming to check out the slick simulators, jeep test track and of course the new models.
Models are far and few between now. But before models were all over every display had beautiful models..
The auto show continues at McCormick place through February 18th.
