A judge set bail at $2.5 million for a second suspect arrested for the shooting death of a Bensenville store clerk.

23-year-old Tremayne Davis is charged with murder, attempted armed robbery, and obstructing justice.

Police arrested the other suspect, Kenneth Bardlett, earlier this month.

Two men tried to hold up Sam’s Tobacco and Food Mart in the 200 block of West Irving Park Rd  last month.

Clerk Hussein Saghir was killed outside the store.

Police released surveillance video Monday hoping to solve the murder of a stork clerk in Bensenville, Ill.

The video is disturbing and gives an idea of the last few minutes of Hussein Saghir’s life. It shows the 36-year-old leaving Sam’s Tobacco and Food Mart with his brother, the owner, at about 6 p.m. Sunday. The camera caught two men lurking outside waiting for them to open the door.

“They were confronted by two subjects try to force their way in when one fired a shot,” said Bensenville Police Chief Frank Kosman.

The video does not show the fatal shot, but one that missed both men, who continued to fight for their lives. Kosman won’t say if robbery was the motive.

But we know from friends that the surveillance cameras were put in after a robbery at the store in November where three men took cash from a different clerk. No one was ever arrested in that case.

When police arrived Sunday night, Saghir was dying outside the store. His brother was not hurt. The two suspects, light complected black men in their late teens or early twenties, ran away.

This is the first murder in Bensenville in 10 years.
