Spider-Man robber hits multiple NW side stores

Spider-Man RobberA man in a Spider-Man mask is suspected in multiple convenient store robberies on the Northwest side of Chicago.

According to police, the robber is described as male, white in his 20s, between 5-foot-8 inches and 5-foot-11 inches tall.

Police believe yesterday’s robbery at a convenience store in the Dunning neighborhood is the third time the man has robbed a business in the area.

The convenience store in the 3700 block of North Harlem Avenue was robbed around 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the man was wearing in a red ski mask with stripes.  He wore a scarf over his mouth and was carrying a handgun, possibly a 9mm pistol, police said.

Police believe it’s the same man who has twice robbed a 7-Eleven on the same block.

On Tuesday, a 7-Eleven store in the same block was robbed about 5 a.m. by a man in a Spider-Man ski mask. The same man is believed to have robbed the 7-Eleven Jan. 24 about 9:45 p.m.

A man suspected in several Northwest Side robberies struck again Thursday night.

Around 7 p.m., Chicago police say the armed robber walked into the “Convenient” convenience store in the 3700 block of N. Harlem Drive and took an undisclosed amount of money.

He is believed to be the same robber who held up a 7-11 store in the 2700 block of N. Harlem Dr. twice in the last month. In each holdup, the robber walked in, pulled out a gun, and demanded cash.

Police say the robber has worn a blue hooded sweatshirt with a red Spider-Man ski mask in each robbery.

The robber is described as a white man in his 20′s, standing between 5-foot-8 an 5-foot-11 inches tall. If you know anything you’re asked to call police.

A man in a Spider-Man mask robbed a northwest side 7-Eleven this morning, the second time he hit the store this month.

The most recent robbery took place in the 2700 block of North Harlem at 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The man in the mask displayed a handgun, demanded cash and fled, according to Chicago Police Department.  No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as male, white in his 20s, between 5-foot-8 inches and 5-foot-11 inches tall.
