A third person has been arrested in connection with the dismembered body unearthed last week from a Southwest Side back yard.

Milton Miranda was booked into the Morris County, New Jersey jail over the weekend on murder charges.

Police say he’s the man who attacked Jose Reyes last May with a pipe and an knife after being lured to the home by the suspect’s girlfriend, Daisy Gutierrez.

Gutierrez is behind bars with a $2 million bail.

Her father is also being held for allegedly helping bury the body.

Bond is set at $2 million for a 19-year-old woman accused of killing a man, helping dismember the body and bury it in her father’s backyard.

Prosecutors have charged Daisy Gutierrez with first degree murder of 29-year-old Jose Reyes.

Her father, Salvador Gutierrez  was also charged with concealing a homicide.  His bond is set  at a half million dollars.

Friday, police discovered the remains of Reyes in plastic bags  buried in Salvador’s backyard in the 8300 block of South Scottsdale.

Prosecutors say Daisy Gutierrez lured Reyes to her father’s home.

Gutierrez’s boyfriend allegedly decapitated Reyes before dismembering him.

Prosecutors say Salvador Gutierrez helped bury the body.

The Chicago Tribune says Gutierrez’ boyfriend may have fled to New Jersey.

Chicago police question two people in connection with the death of a man– whose dismembered body was found buried in a southwest side backyard. One of them is the man’s ex girlfriend.

Cook County’s medical examiner said the man died of multiple injuries caused by a sharp object. His death is ruled a homicide. According to police, the man’s ex lured him to the 8300 block of South Scottsdale, her new boyfriend hit him over the head with a pipe and slashed his throat, then buried him in her back yard.

The woman helped put body parts in plastic bags, then buried them. The victim has been missing since May.

Investigators think the boyfriend may have fled to New Jersey.

Chicago police say the dismembered body found buried in the backyard of a home on the southwest side belongs to a man who was lured to the house by his former girlfriend.

An autopsy on the man indicates he died of multiple injuries from a sharp object.

Still no charges against a 19-year old woman or a 56-year old relative of hers who police say helped bury the victim in plastic bags, according to the Chicago Tribune.

After luring him to the house the woman’s new boyfriend allegedly struck him over the head with a pipe then slashed his throat.

Police sources say they are now seeking a man who, they say, fled to New Jersey, the Chicago Tribune reports.
