Sun, dry air sent temperatures rising Friday

Emerging sunshine following our midweek snowfall, has helped temperatures moderate to seasonable levels. Area readings on Friday climbed as high as the mid 60s across the western suburbs, after a day that began with sub-freezing temperatures. Officially, the temperature at O’Hare airport rose 30 degrees from a morning low of 31.
