Game Notes For Tuesday @ Detroit


* Detroit has won five of its last six games against Chicago, including the first two matchups this season, both by shootout. Tonight’s game is the 700th all-time regular-season matchup between these franchises, the most among opponents in the history of the NHL.

* The Blackhawks will be looking to extend their franchise record win streak to 10 games. Chicago has outscored its opponents 40-12 during its nine-game win streak.   

* The Red Wings have won eight of their last nine home games, including three in a row.

* Chicago will be looking to win six straight road games for the first time since reeling off a franchise-record seven in a row from December 9-29, 1964.

* Nikolai Khabibulin is 6-0-0 with a 2.51 GAA in his last seven road starts and has won two of his last three road starts against the Red Wings.

* Ty Conklin is 5-0-0 with a 2.42 GAA in six career games against Chicago.

Game Notes For Wednesday vs. Ottawa


* Ottawa has just one win in its last six trips to Chicago and has lost four of the last five meetings overall between the teams.

* The Blackhawks have won two of their last three games, tallying 15 goals in that span.

* Jonathan Toews has four goals and two assists in his last three games after scoring four goals in his first 22 contests on the season.

* Dany Heatley has eight points (3g, 5a) during his current four-game point streak. Heatley has two goals and one assist in four career games against Chicago.

* Patrick Sharp has lit the lamp in four consecutive games. Chicago owns a 9-2-2 record when Sharp scores a goal this season.

* Last Friday in Anaheim, Jonas Hiller stopped all 26 Chicago shots to lead the Ducks to a 1-0 win on home ice. The game featured just three total power play opportunities (one for Anaheim, two for Chicago).

* The Ducks have killed off 22 consecutive opponent power plays, and have won four of their last five games overall.
