  • 2 dogs rescued, 1 killed in Dolton house fire

    Investigators are trying to determine what started a house fire that killed one dog in South Suburban Dolton. The fire started just after 12 a.m. in a bedroom of the home, near 156th and University Avenue. Firefighters were able to rescue two other dogs. No people were injured.

    CHICAGO – Four Chicago Police officers were injured early Sunday morning  when two squad cars crashed while chasing a stolen vehicle in on the Southwest Side.     CHICAGO – A mother and daughter from the Chicago’s South Side are charged with stabbing a CPS administrator and security guard. Debbie Wilson, 45, and her daughter, whose name is also Debbie Wilson, 26,  appeared in bond court Saturday, charged with aggravated battery to a school employee.     CHICAGO – The Archdiocese of Chicago is asking six Roman Catholic schools on the city’s Northwest side to consider consolidating for the 2016-17 school year.     PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Kentucky authorities say two teenage sweethearts suspected in a crime spree of stolen vehicles and pilfered checks across the South have been apprehended in Florida.     PHOENIX  – A 36-year-old woman died hours after giving birth Thursday to quadruplets in a Phoenix hospital, the Associated Press reported. Erica Morales was about seven months pregnant when she delivered the babies — three girls and a boy — at Banner Good Samaritan hospital, Nicole Todman, a family friend, told the news organization.
