    CHICAGO — The owner of the John Hancock Center is shopping the naming rights for the 47-year-old building to pay for a proposed redevelopment of a plaza in front of the Michigan Avenue building.     Illinois twins named valedictorian and salutatorian of their class

    MONMOUTH, Ill. – Twins in Western Illinois received top honors last weekend. Twins Addison and Cole McKee are top of the class at United High School in Monmouth. Addison is the class valedictorian and Cole is the class salutatorian.  The twins delivered speeches during their commencement ceremony Sunday.     ROBBINS, Ill. – A young mother was killed in a head-on collision in Southwest suburban Robbins. Robbins Police say the crash happened around 3 p.m. near 136th Street and Pulaski Road and involved a black Dodge Charger and a silver Chevrolet Camaro.     Shots fired at SUV on the Stevenson Expressway

    CHICAGO – Illinois State Police are looking for the driver who fired shots at an SUV on the Stevenson Expressway overnight. It happened in the northbound lanes of Interstate-55 near Damen Avenue at 1:40 a.m. Police say the shooter pulled up along side the passenger side of a white SUV and fired at least one shot into the door.     Woman’s body found at Chicago auto pound

    CHICAGO  – An autopsy will be done today on a woman’s body that was found inside the city’s impound lot on the Southeast Side. Her body was found Saturday afternoon at the tow yard at 103rd Street and South Doty Avenue. Police aren’t saying if a car was towed to the yard with the body inside of it, or where exactly the woman was found. Her name is not being released right now.

    CHICAGO – A man is recovering from injuries he suffered when he was shot while driving on the Stevenson Expressway. The 22-year old man was driving in the southbound lanes of I-55 near Central Avenue around 6:30 this morning when a silver Volkswagen SUV pulled up alongside him.     1 killed, 6 injured in South Side crash

    CHICAGO – One person was killed and six others injured after several cars collided on Chicago’s South Side. It happened just after 1 a.m. near 47th Street and Halsted in the Canaryville neighborhood. Four vehicles were involved. At least two people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed by firefighters. The crash is under investigation. No details are available about the victims.

    Police: April was a deadly month in Chicago

    CHICAGO –  There was one more murder in Chicago in April than the same month last year. Sunday, the Chicago Police Department released the overall crime statistics for April 2016.  Overall for the month, there were 36 murders, 253 shootings and 311 shooting victims.
