  • Family buries man killed in Ravenswood alley

    CHICAGO – Dushanti Hassell was shot and killed on Sunday in an alley in the 2200 block of West Winnemac Avenue. The 21-year-old and father of two was brought to the alley by Amin Smith, also 21 years old. Prosecutors say Smith shot and killed Hassell as he begged for his life.     Chicago Police say a West Side man was arrested after he shot at two men who allegedly stole his mini-van. Wilfrido Cruz, 44, of the 4300 block of West Cullerton Street, is facing one felony count of aggravated discharge of a firearm.     Burglar targeting Dunkin’ Donuts in West Suburbs

    Police from St. Charles, Aurora, North Aurora, Yorkville, Batavia and Oswego are all working together to find a man who has been breaking into Dunkin’ Donuts stores. A thin man dressed in all black has been smashing out windows of Dunkin’ Donuts stores and stealing money. He has left a few of the locations empty handed. Police say if the cash isn’t quickly accessible, he runs. Anyone with information can call their local police department.

    EVERGREEN PARK, Ill. – The FBI is looking for the man who robbed a bank in Evergreen Park on Friday afternoon. The man robbed the BMO Harris Bank branch at 9950 S.
