  • Unconscious pilot crashes into Atlantic Ocean

    A pilot flying from Waukesha, Wisconsin to Manassas, Virginia lost consciousness and drifted into restricted airspace over the nation’s capitol on Saturday.  The FAA says the unidentified pilot did not respond to radio calls and F16 scrambled to intercept the small plane.  The jets followed the plane and determined the pilot was unconscious.  The plane eventually ran out of gas and crashed in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Virginia but no wreckage has been recovered.  The aircraft was […]

  • Helicopter makes emergency landing on suburban football field

    A helicopter made an emergency landing in a football field in suburban Hanover Park yesterday. The chopper, owned by Bachman Aero, landed in a football field at around 11:00 a.m., near Barrington Road and Route 19.  The landing occurred just minutes before a team of six-year-olds were about to begin to take the field.     Chicago Tribune Two men and a woman appeared in Cook County Bond Court Saturday accused of a home invasion in southwest suburban Oak Lawn.
