Judie García has been at WGN-TV since 2003. She was born in Chicago to Mexican-American parents and raised in Chicago and San Antonio. She worked as a medical transcriptionist, medical assistant, and registered securities agent before beginning college. Judie graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio (B.A., English). She was working as a paralegal when she began her journalism career at the NBC station in San Antonio. Within three years, she was hired at ABC7 Chicago as an Anchor/Reporter.
