3 shot in Lawndale, police say

CHICAGO – Three people were shot in the city’s Lawndale neighborhood Tuesday evening, according to police.

The shooting happened on the 3000 block of West Roosevelt Road around 7:20 p.m.

A 33-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

Two men, ages 28 and 43, were shot in the buttocks and taken to the hospital. Both were in stable condition.

Police said the circumstances of the shooting are unknown.

All three victims are documented gang members, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
