HINSDALE, Ill. – No one was injured but a large home was damaged in a fire in Hinsdale Wednesday afternoon.
Crews responded to the fire in the 300 block of East 6th Street around 4:30 p.m.
The blaze grew to a three alarm fire before it was put out.
Firefighters rescued a dog.
Officials said it may have started from roofers working with a torch. The flames raged for more than an hour. It was a difficult fire to fight because of the age of the house, which is more than 100 years old.
