Christmas tree sparks fire on Far South Side

 

CHICAGO – Two people were injured in fire on the Far South Side early Tuesday morning.

The fire started around 12:45 a.m. in a home near in the 600 block of W. 117th St. in West Pullman.

Residents told firefighters it was sparked by a Christmas tree.

A man and a woman jumped out a second-floor window to escape.

The woman injured her hand. The man injured his ankle.
