Lockdown lifted at Niles West, 2 juveniles detained

SKOKIE, Ill. – The lockdown has been lifted at Niles West High School after an investigation into reports of a gun at school.

A parent of a student contacted police.  That parent’s student stated a fellow classmate had brought a gun to school.

The school was placed on lockdown while police investigated.

Police say they found an air soft bb-type pistol and two juveniles were detained.

The lockdown was lifted and there were no injuries at the school.
