Ancient Viking sword found in mountain

SOUTHERN NORWAY — Two reindeer hunters stumbled upon a rare find in Southern Norway.

They discovered a rusty, iron sword dating back to the Viking era.

The three-foot-long sword was between some rocks with the blade sticking out.

A Norwegian archaeologist says it may have been left by someone who got lost in a blizzard.

The quality of the iron and the cold, dry conditions helped to preserve it.
