Chicago Police Marine Unit divers responded to a call Sunday night about woman in her 40s who went into the water but didn’t resurface.

After a break at about 11 p.m., the search was supposed to resumed at about 9 a.m. However, due to high waves and a deteriorating visibility of the lake bottom, the Marine Unit has is suspended it’s surface search for now.

A beach hazard warning is in effect through Tuesday evening, with the potential for 8-foot waves and rip currents.
