CHICAGO -- Some new police statistics obtained by the Chicago Tribune show that Ashland Avenue is the deadliest street in Chicago for pedestrians.

Ashland is a four-lane, major arterial roadway.

Police say they are the worst because drivers often speed on them and they're also busy because of the businesses that line the street.
