Airlines waive change fees ahead of winter storm

CHICAGO — As we get ready for another round of snow today, the airlines are preparing too.

Airlines are waiving fees to change for passengers to change flights ahead of the storm.

The four biggest airlines in the U.S. — American, Delta, United and Southwest — have all issued weather waivers for fliers.

The weather will start affecting the airports here in Chicago this afternoon, and then will start impacting airports on the East Coast later this weekend.

Both O’Hare and Midway have cancelled a number of flights.

Passengers can check the status of their flight on Flight Aware.
