CHICAGO — The last time Cubs fans saw Wrigley Field, they were celebrating a World Series Game 5 victory that kept their season alive.
The ballpark looks a lot different now. The whole field is now covered up or dug up.
Construction crews are out there with heavy equipment digging up seats and bullpens.
A whole section of seats behind home plate is gone.
A new level of club seating will go in its place.
The bullpens will no longer be in foul territory, next to the dugouts.
The new ones will be built under the bleachers for next season.
Opening day at Wrigley Field is Monday, April 10, 2017 versus the Los Angeles Dodgers.
