Man killed, 5 others injured in mass shooting during South Side party

CHICAGO - Chicago police are looking for two gunmen who "shot up" a house party early Saturday morning in the South Shore neighborhood.

Police say six people were shot and one man is dead.

It happened at 2:15 a.m. at a house party near 88th Street and South Exchange Avenue in the South Chicago neighborhood.

Witnesses say two men opened fire inside the house. People were seen jumping from second story windows to escape the gunfire.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the chest and died at the scene. Another 20-year-old man was shot in the groin and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition. A woman, 25, suffered a graze wound to her head. She was taken to Stroger Hospital. A 22-year-old man was shot in the hand.  He was transported to Trinity Hospital. Police say a 21-year-old man was shot in the left arm and taken to Northwestern Hospital. Another man, 23, was also shot in the arm and was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital.
