Woman rescued after allegedly sexually assaulted on Stevenson Expressway

CHICAGO -- A woman told Illinois State Police she was sexually assaulted in a car on the Stevenson Expressway.

Police were called early Tuesday morning as the woman tried to get out of the car after allegedly being sexually assaulted on I-55 at Harlem Avenue.

Illinois State Police rescued the woman, and she was transported to MacNeal Hospital in good condition around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

A man was arrested police, but no names have been released yet.
