CHICAGO – The bad news keeps rolling out of Halas Hall.
The Bears were nearly back to full strength heading into Tampa Bay, but now it appears Kyle Long’s season is over.
Long left yesterday’s game on a cart after his right ankle got rolled up on a run play in the red zone during the second quarter.
The three-time Pro Bowler eventually returned to the sideline in an air cast, but according to a report from the NFL Network, an MRI confirmed the injury was season ending.
The team has yet to announce the severity of the injury.
An official report does not have to be submitted until Wednesday.
