Thousands of candles placed in formation form touching Veterans’ Day tribute

WHEATON -- Cantigny Park in west suburban Wheaton paid tribute to U.S. veterans Friday night with a beautiful display of nearly 2,000 luminary candles placed on the parade field and lit up after sunset.

The candles honor more than 13,000 First Infantry Division soldiers killed in action since 1917, and all the veterans who served our country. The First Infantry Division is one of the oldest continuously-serving divisions in the Army.

Veterans' Day was also the final chance to visit the First Division Museum at Cantigny Park before it closes for renovation.
