GURNEE, Ill. --  Students at a north suburban school staged a protest Thursday after someone found an offensive, racist sign inside the school.

The sign reading "Whites Only" was found on a door of a stall in a women's bathroom at the Warren Township High School in Gurnee.

Today 200 students staged a sit-in protest at the school, voicing outrage, and also protesting the election of Donald Trump, blaming the racially charged rhetoric on his campaign.

The district's superintendent says the school is investigating to try to track down who is responsible for the graffiti and is also using this as a teachable moment for students.
