Kyle Schwarber steps to the plate during appearance on ‘Live with Kelly’
NEW YORK – Since they won their franchise’s first World Series championship in 108 years on November 2nd, the Cubs have been a nationwide hit.
A number of players have appeared on late night and afternoon television shows as the country gets to learn more about the history-making Cubs.
On Thursday, Kyle Schwarber took his act to the morning.
The designated hitter made an appearance on ‘Live With Kelly’ in New York on Thursday with host Kelly Ripa and guest host Alex Rodriguez, a 3-time American league MVP.
Schwarber talked with the hosts on set for about six minutes, detailing his comeback to the Cubs after a serious knee injury for the World Series along with being apart of the first team to win a title for the franchise in 108 years.
But this wouldn’t be an appearance where Schwarber would be able to just use his speaking skills.
Schwarber would venture outside for a little bit of pick-up baseball in the street outside of the studio. He got the chance to show off some of his trademark power along with his catching skills with Kelly and Alex.
