CROWN POINT, Ind. — The FBI and Indiana State police were raiding the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Crown Point, Indiana.
Reports say at least 30 officers entered the sheriff’s office with search warrants around 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
Federal agents and state police were pushing dollies and sources say all employees were ordered to leave, according to The Times of Northwest Indiana.
Indiana State Police and the IRS are also assisting the investigation.
Officials say the raid is part of an ongoing investigation.
The reason for the raid or investigation is unknown at this time.
