Five people injured in Uptown shooting

CHICAGO – Five people were injured in an early morning shooting on the North Side.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 4800 block of N. Winthrop in the Uptown neighborhood.

Police say a 17-year-old boy was shot in the back, a 20-year-old woman was shot in both legs and a 27-year-old man was shot in the leg.

Two 36-year-old men were also injured. One man was shot buttock, the other was shot in the arm.

All five victims were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition.
